Where to find me across the web. The good, the bad, and the off-and-on.

I am a Principal Engineer at Bayer. The vast majority of my professional work and energy goes into enterprise, closed-source systems. My public GitHub is mostly a quiet place for weekend projects, retro game experiments, and tinkering.

Noisy Dino Gaming
A fun, off-and-on hobby started with my youngest son about 5 years ago. More than just a channel, it's about building something together, getting him interested in technology, and learning side-by-side. It served as an exploration into video production—learning tools like OBS, DaVinci Resolve, and GIMP, as well as game capture, audio engineering, and YouTube analytics. Sometimes we post frequently, sometimes we take a year off. Ultimately, it's all about having fun and learning together.
Pouchy
An exploration into building a complete, modern web application (PWA) around the envelope budgeting method. As AI tools emerged, I wanted to see what it took to build a full product strategy using Firebase Studio, GCP, NameCheap, Stripe for payments, Discord for notifications via Cloud Functions, and Gemini Genkit for AI integration. It was a fantastic learning experience in end-to-end product architecture.
Trey's Trash Can Cleaning
A project my son and I started in the summer of 2025. He wanted to start a business cleaning trash cans in the surrounding neighborhood. We built a mobile-friendly web app that he could use while going door-to-door, allowing customers to quickly select a service plan and provide their contact info. It was also linked via QR codes on the flyers he distributed. The app was built using Firebase Studio, with Firebase for the database and hosting.
